What is a computer virus?

A computer virus behaves just like a biological virus, in that it infects your computer with malicious software or malware.  Other viruses include trojan horses and worms which behave in a different, but equally damaging manner.

How do you repair a computer virus?

With difficulty!  Often if you get a virus, the damage has been done, the best protection is prevention.  With some of the worst viruses, your computer shuts itself down on start up - leaving you few options to attempt repair.  Without some sort of protection, you could easily have a virus that will wipe out someone's computer when you email them.  If you don't fancy attempting removing trojan horse virus from your computer (believe me, you don't want to try, it can take hours!) then keeping up to date with the latest security software is the only answer.
