With a low cost of living and with the Filipinos having a genuine appreciation of others this is a friendly culture.  There's also plenty of nightlife and opportunities for excitement!  You can rent a comfortable, air conditioned house for just a few hundred dollars - depending on your budget.  If you prefer to buy, you can find housing for under $50,000 and that's in the nice part of town!
